Step 7: Fill the Space and Remove All Honeycomb
Once the bees have been removed, we fill the area with a physical barrier. This takes away the space for bees to ever come back. We fill the soffit, eave, or wall with insulation. If they were under a playset, we use mulch or other appropriate material.
Any service that does not do this work is inviting bees to come back next year. Bees can smell the remnants of comb and during swarm season seek out these areas for future colonies. Filling the space eliminates the attractive void that drew them in the first place.
This step is one of the most important parts of our removal process and is included in every full removal we perform.
